Legal Systems Administration

This class is designed to prepare the student to obtain marketable business skills for employment at a legal office. Class activities include the use of up-to-date computer hardware and software.

Advanced students will be able to participate on a practical work experience job in a legal office during class time in the spring. This class is a 3 credit class.

Students in this program should be willing to build the skills needed in a legal environment, including strong English and office skills. They should enjoy working with law-related professionals including lawyers, law enforcement personnel, judges, and court officials.

Prior courses in Business, Keyboarding, or any other computer related classes are recommended.

After the Class …
Students who complete this program are prepared for entry level legal office jobs or for general office positions. This class also prepares students that are planning to go to college in courses such as: court reporting, legal secretarial, and paralegal curriculums.

They provided information to the students about skills and characteristics for success as a Legal Assistant by offering suggestions on how to best prepare when entering the job market and answering questions.
