JSRCC Newest class

Today, the newest cohort of students in the Teacher Apprentice Program at the ACE Center at Hermitage toured Reynolds Community College (JSRCC), officially beginning their journey as college students.

These juniors are launching into a dual enrollment experience that offers the potential to earn over 30 college credits before high school graduation. Alongside their academic work, they’ll complete three internships—from classroom observation to hands-on instructional practice—gaining real-world experience that prepares them for future careers in education.


About the Teacher Apprentice Program

The Teacher Apprentice Program at the ACE Center at Hermitage is designed for high school students who are passionate about becoming educators. Through a combination of dual enrollment courses, field experiences, and mentorship, students gain early exposure to the teaching profession. By the time they graduate, participants will have completed over 30 college credits and three internships, positioning them to pursue teacher licensure and enter the workforce with confidence and experience.
