The ACE Center at Hermitage is proud to partner with VCU Health to host a transformative educational experience for its students: the IMPACT Injury & Violence Prevention Program. This powerful, four-hour event will take place on Monday, October 21 and is exclusively designed for students enrolled at the ACE Center.
VCU’s IMPACT program, part of its Injury and Violence Prevention initiatives, immerses students in thought-provoking simulations and real-world demonstrations that explore the consequences of risky behaviors such as impaired driving, substance misuse, and teen violence.
Through realistic trauma scenarios, interactive learning stations, and firsthand insights from medical professionals, first responders, and legal experts, students will gain a deeper understanding of trauma response and prevention. Highlights include a live vehicle extrication demo, forensic investigations, and a panel discussion featuring voices from emergency care, public safety, and healthcare.

“This is an incredible opportunity for our students to see firsthand how choices can lead to life-changing outcomes—not just for victims, but for everyone involved,” said program organizers at the ACE Center. “The goal is to educate and empower students to make informed, responsible decisions.”
⚠️ Please note: This is a closed event and not open to the public. Participation is limited to current ACE Center at Hermitage students only.
