CTE Signing Day

Students from the ACE Center at Hermitage will take part in CTE Letter‑of‑Intent Signing Day, a countywide celebration recognizing seniors who have committed to entering the workforce, apprenticeship programs, or advanced career training following graduation. This year’s Signing Day will be held on April 22, 2026 and honors students who are turning their career and technical education into real‑world opportunities.

Modeled after college athletic signing days, the CTE Letter‑of‑Intent Signing Day celebrates students who are “enrolled, enlisted, or employed”, highlighting the many successful pathways available after high school. During the event, students formally sign letters of intent committing to employers, apprenticeships, or career‑focused programs, marking an important milestone as they transition from education to the workforce.

The event represents a collaborative effort among students, educators, and business partners across Virginia. Employers participate to recognize and support students who have developed industry‑ready skills through their CTE programs and are prepared to enter high‑demand, well‑paying careers. Signing Day underscores the value of hands‑on learning and the strong connections between Henrico County Public Schools and the local workforce community.

CTE Signing Day has gained national attention for its innovative approach to celebrating career readiness, serving as a model for schools across the country. For ACE Center at Hermitage students, the event is both a celebration of achievement and a powerful reminder that multiple post‑secondary pathways lead to success.

The ACE Center at Hermitage community is proud to recognize students who are stepping confidently into their futures and looks forward to celebrating their accomplishments on Signing Day.
